  1.                     Requirements as of 12-01-1994

  3.         1. BBS joining must be up for over three months.
  4.            Reason: New systems don't generate any messages and sysops
  5.            need to do other things first.
  6.  
  7.         2. Sysops must be at least 18 years old.
  8.  
  9.         3. All systems joining must take all 28 conferences.
  10.            Reason: This will give all conferences a fair chance
  11.            to get messages and if we rename one it will already
  12.            be there.
  13.  
  14.         4. System joining must be several miles from other ASN Echos
  15.            Reason: Sysops want a NET others don't have making their
  16.            BBS a little different.
  17.  
  18.         5. System must call in for mail at least three times a week.
  19.  
  20.         6. We don't want BBSs that have a pirate theme,
  21.            Reason: These BBSs attract people we don't want using
  22.            American Sportsman NET!
